The photographs are amazing! Many of them appear to have been taken from
the air. Perhaps in an airplane or helicopter.

It was a bit expensive for my budget but well worth the cost. I read it
all the way through very quickly.

The “History” section taught me a lot about the circumstances in which my
grandfather left Nisyros for the USA in 1911 at age 15. This is a
subject that greatly interests me.

I also learned a lot about the farming and lifestyles of the earlier
Nisyrians. The book provides a heavy dose of architecture that especially
appealed to me as I am in the process of remodelling two houses in
Mandraki.

This is the best book I recall reading on the island of Nisyros. It makes a great gift.

We thank the authors for their dedication to our home, sweet home.
